{"id":6676,"date":"2018-10-28T22:30:16","date_gmt":"2018-10-28T20:30:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/?p=6676"},"modified":"2018-11-05T22:22:14","modified_gmt":"2018-11-05T20:22:14","slug":"fractales-new-pacho-flores-recording-for-dg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/en\/fractales-new-pacho-flores-recording-for-dg\/","title":{"rendered":"FRACTALES, new Pacho Flores&#8217; recording for DG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"\/?page_id=974\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pacho Flores<\/a>, together with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tarrodi.se\/cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Christian Lindberg<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.noso.no\/en\/information\/%C3%A5rsmeldinger\/arcticphilharmonicorchestra\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra<\/a>, presents his new Deutsche Grammophon recording\u00a0<strong>FRACTALES<\/strong>.\u00a0Recorded last May at the Stormen Hall in Bodo, one of the Norwegian orchestra\u2019s headquarters, FRACTALES includes trumpet masterpieces such as Haydn and Arutunian concertos, the astonishing contemporary composition <em>Akban Bunka<\/em> by Christian Lindberg and some of the key works in Pacho&#8217;s repertoire such as his own transcription of Sarasate\u2019s <em>Gypsy Airs<\/em> and Efra\u00edn Oscher&#8217;s arrangements of Tom Jobim\u2019s <em>Chega de Saudade<\/em> and Piazzolla\u2019s <em>Oblivion<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HlXhaHyqaZI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">FRACTALES is Pacho&#8217;s third recording for Deutsche Grammophon following CANTAR, recorded with the Berlin Funkhausorchester and <a href=\"\/?page_id=5150\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Christian V\u00e1squez<\/a> and ENTROP\u00cdA, with guitarist Jes\u00fas &#8216;Ping\u00fcino&#8217; Gonz\u00e1lez. Christian, trombonist, composer and conductor, is writing a new\u00a0<em>Double Concerto for trumpet and trombone<\/em>\u00a0that will be premiered on March 21 and 22, 2019, with Christian conducting the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra and Ximo Vicedo on trombone. He is also collaborating with Pacho in his Project of Shared Commissions of New Trumpet Concertos.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6693\" src=\"https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/pacho_flores_composicion_portadas_baja-2-800x266.jpg\" alt=\"Pacho Flores composici\u00f3n portadas Deutsche Grammophon\" width=\"800\" height=\"266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/pacho_flores_composicion_portadas_baja-2-800x266.jpg 800w, https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/pacho_flores_composicion_portadas_baja-2-1080x359.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With regard to this project, Arturo M\u00e1rquez&#8217;s <em>Concierto de Oto\u00f1o<\/em> has already been premiered by the National Orchestra of Mexico and Carlos Miguel Prieto and further premieres are planned with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and Jos\u00e9 Luis G\u00f3mez in the USA, with the Hyogo PAC Orchestra and Michiyoshi Inoue in Japan and with the Oviedo Filarmon\u00eda and Lucas Mac\u00edas in Spain. New concertos by Roberto Sierra, Paquito D&#8217;Rivera, Efra\u00edn Oscher and Christian Lindberg will be premiered in the coming seasons.
