El camino de los gitanos<\/a><\/em>, for singer, percussion, flamenco guitar and orchestra. The piece was commissioned by the Duisburger Philharmoniker to Jos\u00e9 Quevedo &#8216;Bolita&#8217; and Joan Albert Amarg\u00f3s as part of the artistic residency of the <em>cantaora<\/em> in the 2022\/23 season of the orchestra, and the texts were written by Quevedo himself on an idea by Marina Heredia. Both Quevedo and Amarg\u00f3s will have an active participation in this premiere since the former, as Marina&#8217;s regular guitarist, will also perform as a soloist, along with Paquito Gonz\u00e1lez on the percussion; Amarg\u00f3s on his part will act as musical director.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"\u201eIn Freiheit! \u2013 der Weg der Gitanos\u201c Marina Heredia, Duisburger Philharmoniker\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_yezPxh0RpU?feature=oembed\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Marina had already visited Duisburg in November 2022 as part of her artistic residence, offering two concerts with the orchestra and its principal conductor, Axel Kober, in which she sang <em><a href=\"https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/marina-heredia-canta-el-amor-brujo-con-la-filarmonica-de-duisburg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El Amor Brujo<\/a><\/em> by Manuel de Falla. This visit was closed with the show <em>Garnata<\/em> by Marina&#8217;s usual quintet, since the interest of the artistic direction goes beyond symphonic concerts and they have also programmed Marina Heredia&#8217;s flamenco company. In the same way, after this world premiere, Marina and her company, with the addition of several Duisburger musicians, will offer a concert with the repertoire of Marina&#8217;s latest album, <em>Capricho<\/em>. In addition, educational activities have also been programmed in schools, as well as conferences-concerts in collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-12139\" src=\"https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/marina_bola_pakito_amargos_pons-800x400.jpg\" alt=\"Marina Heredia, world premiere with the Duisburg Philharmonic\" width=\"800\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After the recent presentation of the 2023\/24 season of the Galician Symphony Orchestra, we can also announce that the Spanish premiere of <em>En Libertad<\/em> will take place in May 2024 with the same soloists, this time conducted by Jos\u00e9 Trigueros. Marina is definitely the most demanded singer internationally for this repertoire; only last year she could be seen in Germany at the Konzerthaus, the Philharmonie and the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin; the Laieszhalle of the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, or the Lausitz Festival in G\u00f6rlitz, and she has sung with important orchestras such as Chicago Symphony or San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre National de Lille or Orquestra Sinf\u00f4nica da Casa da M\u00fasica do Porto in Portugal.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Marina Heredia takes part next June 28 and 29 in the world premiere of En Libertad!
