{"id":11782,"date":"2023-02-27T15:16:59","date_gmt":"2023-02-27T13:16:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/?p=11782"},"modified":"2023-02-27T15:16:59","modified_gmt":"2023-02-27T13:16:59","slug":"pacho-flores-with-the-quebec-symphony-orchestra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/en\/pacho-flores-with-the-quebec-symphony-orchestra\/","title":{"rendered":"Pacho Flores with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pacho Flores makes his debut with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.osq.org\/concerts\/bienvenido-pacho-flores\/\">Quebec Symphony Orchestra<\/a> on 1 and 2 March under the direction of Anu Tali, with whom he will perform Haydn&#8217;s <em>Trumpet Concerto<\/em> as well as the Canadian premiere of <em>Salseand<\/em>o, the concert composed by Roberto Sierra that has been recently premiered by Pacho in the US with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/hernandez-silva-y-pacho-flores-con-la-tucson-symphony\/\">Manuel Hern\u00e1ndez-Silva<\/a>.\u00a0<em>Salseando<\/em>\u00a0is part of the project of shared commissions for new trumpet concerts promoted by Pacho Flores and managed worldwide by his agency, ACM Concerts. It was commissioned by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Regi\u00f3n de Murcia Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra Sinf\u00f4nica do Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo, and the Orchestre National de Bordeaux-Aquitaine. The first premiere took place in Liverpool with Domingo Hindoyan on 9 January 2020, the Brazilian premiere on 31 March, 1 and 2 April 2022 under Carlos Miguel Prieto, while Hern\u00e1ndez-Silva was in charge of the Spanish and French premieres on 17 December 2020 and 3 June 2022, respectively. After the recent US and forthcoming Canadian premiere,\u00a0<em>Salseando<\/em>\u00a0will land on the stands of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Rafael Payare and later return to the Liverpool Philharmonic, which will also record it for Pacho&#8217;s next album. The 2023\/24 season will also see its Polish premiere, again with conductor Manuel Hern\u00e1ndez-Silva.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Salseando, de Roberto Sierra. Pacho Flores, Hern\u00e1ndez-Silva y Sinf\u00f3nica de la Regi\u00f3n de Murcia\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5uHqQKPDr9g?feature=oembed\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Other concerts in this project are <em>Concierto de oto\u00f1o<\/em> by Arturo M\u00e1rquez, <em>Concerto Venezolano<\/em> by Paquito D&#8217;Rivera, <em>Danzas Latinas<\/em> by Efra\u00edn Oscher, <em>Caballos m\u00e1gicos<\/em> by Christian Lindberg, <em>Historias de Flores y Tangos<\/em> by Daniel Freiberg, and <em>Altar de Bronze<\/em> by Gabriela Ortiz. The first three of them, along with Sierra&#8217;s <em>Salseando, <\/em>have already completed their cycle of premieres with the commissioning orchestras and begun a fruitful career. Lindberg and Freiberg concerts are currently being premiered, and <em>Altar de Bronce,<\/em> the last concert to join the project, will soon begin its premiere cycle with the Galician Symphony Orchestra and Hern\u00e1ndez-Silva, to continue with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Miner\u00eda Symphony Orchestra, New World Symphony and San Diego Symphony.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4773\" src=\"https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/pacho_flores_sonrisa_logo-800x411.jpg\" alt=\"Pacho Flores sunrise apaisada deutsche grammophon\" width=\"800\" height=\"411\" srcset=\"https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/pacho_flores_sonrisa_logo-800x411.jpg 800w, https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/pacho_flores_sonrisa_logo-20x10.jpg 20w, https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/pacho_flores_sonrisa_logo.jpg 950w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile, there have also been other premieres such as <em>Concierto Mamb\u00ed,<\/em> by Igmar Alderete, with the Cordoba Orchestra and Carlos Dom\u00ednguez-Nieto, or <em>Invocation,<\/em> by Eleanor Alberga, with the London Schools Orchestra and Peter Ash.
