In Poland, he will conduct the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfm.wroclaw.pl\/en\/ensembles\/nfm-wroclaw-philharmonic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Music Forum Wroc\u0142aw Philharmonic Orchestra<\/a> (NFM Filharmonia Wroc\u0142awska) on December 3. The program includes Vaughan Williams&#8217;s <em>Suite for Viola and Orchestra<\/em>, with Artur Tokarek as soloist, and Bizet&#8217;s <em>Symphony in C<\/em>. Immediately afterwards, Christian will travel to Paris to assist Gustavo Dudamel in the production of <em>Le nozze di Figaro <\/em>at the National Opera of Paris, whose performances will take place throughout the months of January and February, just before returning to Spain to lead the Navarra Symphony Orchestra, in a program that includes the <em>Concerto-Capriccio for harp and orchestra<\/em> by Xavier Montsalvatge with the harpist <a href=\"\/?page_id=3364\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cristina Montes<\/a>, and Brahms&#8217; 3rd Symphony.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Christian V\u00e1squez \/ Francisco &quot;Pacho&quot; Flores (Trumpet) \/ Arutunian\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uqS_xZKqK6c?feature=oembed\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Christian V\u00e1squez was Music Director of the Teresa Carre\u00f1o Symphony Orchestra of\u00a0Venezuela, leading them on an important tour around Europe which took them to\u00a0perform in London, Lisbon, Toulouse, Munich, Stockholm and Istanbul. V\u00e1squez has also been Principal Conductor of the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra between 2013 and\u00a02019, and Principal Guest Conductor of the Het Gelders Orkest from 2015 till 2020, a tenure he started with a tour around The Netherlands featuring an all-Latin programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9507 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/acmconcerts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/christian_vasquez_sinfonica_principado-800x486.jpg\" alt=\"Christian V\u00e1squez concerts in Italy and Poland\" width=\"800\" height=\"486\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following his debut with the G\u00e4vle Symfoniorkester in October 2009, one of his first appearances in Europe, Christian was appointed Principal Guest Conductor between 2010 and 2013. He has worked with the Philharmonia Orchestra, Residentie Orkest, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Vienna Radio Symphony, Camerata Salzburg, State Symphony of Russia, Tokyo Philharmonic and Singapore Symphony. In North America, he has conducted the National Arts Centre Orchestra (Ottawa) and Los Angeles Philharmonic, the latter during his participation in their Young Artist Fellowship Program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since then he has conducted orchestras in the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Poland, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland, Estonia, Ireland, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Korea, etc. Christian\u2019s first opera engagement in Europe was at the Norwegian Opera with <em>Carmen<\/em>. Christian V\u00e1squez started playing the violin at the age of 8, in the city of San Sebasti\u00e1n de los Reyes (Aragua State).
