Diego comes from Galicia (Spain). He is regularly invited as guest conductor in Spain, France, England and Poland. Latest engagements includes Real Filharmon\u00eda de Galicia, Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de Galicia, Orquesta de Extremadura, Carmen by G. Bizet’s at Opera Baltycka in Gdansk, Academic Orchestra and Choir in Bydgoszcz, Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de Galicia’s Young Orchestra, Filarm\u00f3nica de M\u00e1laga, Sinf\u00f3nica de Castilla y Le\u00f3n, Sinf\u00f3nica el Principado de asturias or the assistance to Nicola Luissoti on Teatro Real\u2019s latest Rigoletto<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the operatic field, Diego debuted at Teatro real with a production of Hansel and Gretel<\/em> by Humperdinck in Januray of 2015. He also conducted the world premiere of It Makes No Difference… chamber opera by composer Simone Spagnolo in the festival T\u00eate \u00e0 T\u00eate at Riverside Studios in London, Bizet\u2019s Carmen<\/em> at Opera Baltycka of Gdansk (Poland), The Threepenny<\/em> Opera by Kurt Weill in Santiago, as well as Barbiere di Sivigli<\/em> and Rigoletto<\/em> at Victoria Eugenia Theater and Kursaal, both in San Sebasti\u00e1n.<\/span><\/p>\n

As assistant conductor he worked during the 2010-2011 season at Teatro Real in Madrid on the productions Kr\u00f3l Roger<\/em> by K. Szymanowski (Paul Daniel, conductor and Krzysztof Warlikowski, stage director) and  The Turn of the Screw<\/em> by B. Britten (Josep Pons, conductor and David Mc Vicar, stage director), Th\u00e9atre de Caen on the production La Traviata<\/em> by G. Verdi in 2012 (Nicolas Chalvin, conductor and Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Sivadier, stage director), Opera de Nantes-Angers on The Nose<\/em> by D. Shostakovitch in 2005 (Nicolas Chalvin, conductor and Patrice Caurier\/ Moshe Leiser, stage directors). The Two Moors Festival 2009 invites him to perform the world premiere of Torsten Rasch’s melodrame Die Tr\u00e4umenden Knaben.<\/span><\/p>\n

Diego is Artistic Director of the Taller Atl\u00e1ntico Contempor\u00e1neo (TAC), ensemble that is intensely involved in the diffusion of contemporary music and its relationship to other artistic disciplines. The TAC was recently awarded with the Premios da cr\u00edtica Galicia in 2013 and the Premio Galego da M\u00fasica in gthe field of classic music. With the TAC Diego presented in places such Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, 53rd Semana de M\u00fasica Religiosa de Cuenca or Festival Internacional de M\u00fasica y Danza de Granada, premiering works by Sebasti\u00e1n Marin\u00e9 and Klaus Lang.<\/span><\/p>\n

After obteining the Master of Arts in Conducting at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik of Z\u00fcrich under Professor J\u00f1hannes Schlaefli, continues his studies with Diego Masson at the Dartington Summer School, conducting Madama Butterfly<\/em> by Puccini and Le Nozze di Figaro<\/em> by Mozart at the Dartington Great Hall. Also in England is selected by the London Sinfonietta to participate in the Young Conductors Program of the London Sinfonietta Academy 2010.<\/span><\/p>\n
