Marina Comparato, mezzo<\/span><\/h2>\n

Born in Perugia. Graduated in Political Science. She studied with Renata Ongaro in Florence and took her singing diploma with full marks cum laude in 1996. She made her debut in 1996 as Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia, in London, and in R. Strauss’ Elektra, at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1996 she won the 1st prize at the “V. Bucchi” Competition of Rome, on 20th century music. In 1997 she won the 1st price at the Spoleto Competition, where she debuted as Sesto in La Clemenza di Tito and Siebel in Faust.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 1998 she has been invited in any italian and foreign theatres such as: Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Rossini Opera Festival, Opera of Rome, Teatro Regio of Turin, La Fenice of Venice, Carlo Felice of Genova, Teatro Massimo of Palermo, San Carlo of Naples, La Scala of Milan, Op\u00e9ra National de Paris, Opera de Montpellier, Theatre du Chatelet, La Monnaie in Bruxelles, Opera Royal de Wallonie, De Wlaamse Opera of Antwerp , De Nederlandse Opera of Amsterdam, Frankfurt Opera, Teatro Real of Madrid, Glyndebourne Festival, Salzburg Festival.<\/span><\/p>\n

She has been also invited in many Concert Halls such as Auditorium RAI of Turin, Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Royal Albert Hall of London, Barbican Center London, NHK Concert Hall inTokyo, Concertgebouw of Amsterdam.<\/span><\/p>\n

From 2003 she has sung in the new production \u201cWolf\u201d of Alain Platel on Mozart\u2019s music in tourn\u00e9e in many european theatres such as: Ruhr Triennale Festival, Berlin, Festival de Avignone, Gent, Wien, Bruxelles, Zurich, London, Opera National de Paris (Garnier). She worked with conductors such as C. Abbado, R. Chailly, R. Abbado, R. Chailly, J. Conlon, O. Dantone, J.E. Gardiner, R. Jacobs, Z. Mehta, M. Minkowski, K. Nagano, D. Oren, C. Rizzi, D. Gatti, C. Rousset, T. Pinnock, J. Tate.<\/span><\/p>\n

She recorded Verdi’s Aroldo for Philips, Vivaldi’s Juditha Triumphans, Orlando finto pazzo, Armida for Opus 111, Vivaldi’s Giustino for Virgin Classics, Weber\u2019s Oberon for Decca with J.E. Gardiner, the DVD Gianni Schicchi with R. Chailly for Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Artaserse of Terradellas for Harmonia Mundi. New releases DVD of Le nozze di Figaro (TDK) in Firenze with Z. Mehta, Wolf of A. Platel for ARTE, La finta semplice (Deutsche Grammophon) in Salzburg Festival.<\/span><\/p>\n
