Pablo García López, tenor
Pablo García-López studied singing at the Conservatory of Córdoba his Hometown with the tenor Juan Luque. After that, he completed his studies at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg with Helena Lasarska and Giovanni Ceto specializing in Mozart Repertory. Finally, he refines his technique at the Centre de Perfeccionament Plácido Domingo.
His career starts in 2006, also the year of the beginning of his collaboration with Córdoba´s Orchestra in Concert repertoire. On the same year he won the Contest for Young Singers organized by the Orchestra and his conductor Manuel Hernández Silva. Thereafter, he sings at the theater of Córdoba, Auditori- Tarragona, Centro de Artes – Alcobendas, Auditorio Manuel de Falla- Granada, la Chappelle du Conservatoire- Rennes, the Liedertafel of Mozarteum in Salzburg, where he sung Concerts, Oratorios and Symphonic Works like Händel´s Messiah, Haydn´s Die Schöpfung, Concert Arias, Krönungs Messe, Misa Credo and Requiem from W.A.Mozart, Miserere N.2 from Gómez Navarro, Magnificat and Cantata 147 from J.S.Bach, Britten´s Serenade.
At the same time he starts his road into the world of Opera with the roles of Fenton (Falstaff), Pedrillo (Entführung aus dem Serail), Remendado (Carmen), Punck (La reina de las hadas), Malcolm (Macbeth), Lord Arturo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Gaston (La Traviata), Flavio (Norma), Nathanaël (Hoffmann´s Erzählungen) and First Priest ( Die Zauberflöte). With this roles he presented himself in Teatro de Villamarta de Jerez, Calderón de Valladolid, Auditorio de Murcia, Auditorio Baluarte de Pamplona, Gran Teatro de Córdoba and the Auditorio San Lorenzo del Escorial.
Focusing fundamentally in Opera repertoire, he is selected to play the role of Marqués Ernesto at the Spanish Premiere of La vera costanza from Haydn, in a production of the Teatro Real de Madrid, conducted by Jesús López Cobos and Elio de Capitani. The success of the production take him on tour to the Teatro Comunale di Treviso (Italy) and the Opera Royal of Valonia in Lieja(Belgium).
At the Gayarre Theater in Pamplona he sings the lead role in the Premiere of the Opera El guardian de los cuentos, from Miguel Ortega with the conductor Álvaro Albiach. After that in October 2011, he sings at the Teatro Góngora in Córdoba the Staged Recital Un Aura Amorosa created for him and directed by Francisco López.
During the Season 2012-2013 he performed at Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia the roles of Guiseppini/Pérez (El dúo de la Africana), Parpignol (La Bohéme) conducted by Riccardo Chailly and Fante (I due Foscari) with Plácido Domingo in the lead role. He also had a successful debut in the International Festival of Music and Dance of Granada with the Opera El Retablo de Maese Pedro, singing Maese Pedro with the legendary staging of Enrique Lanz.
Throughout his career he received Master Classes from Tereza Berganza, Plácido Domingo, Ana Luisa Chova, Ernesto Palacios, Enedina Lloris and Roger Vignoles beetwen others.
He sung under the baton of Enrique Patrón Rueda, José Miguel Pérez-Sierra, Manuel Hernández Silva, Miquel Ortega, Omer Meir Wellber, Andrea Battistoni, Alejandro Posada, Marco Zambelli, David Parry, Elena Herrera, Juan Luis Pérez, José Antonio Montaño, Michel Thomas, Marcello Panni, Virginia Martínez and Javier Pérez Batista.
Between the Stage directors that Pablo has worked with worth mentioning Lindsay Kemp, Emilio Sagi, José Luis Castro, Calixto Bieito, Davide Livermore, Thaddeus Strassberger, Francisco López, Pier Paolo Paccini, Joan Antón Rechi, Stefano Poda and Alexandra Panzavolta.
Recently he recorded with the Orchestra from Córdoba the Domine and Dixit Dominus from J. Balius and La Bohéme from G.Puccini conducted by Riccardo Chailly.
