Evgueniy Alexiev, baritone

He won first prize in the Alès Opera Competition, than he worked with Antoine Bourseiller, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Christophe Rousset in a differents productions in France: at the Opera de Lille in Onegin, at the Opera Comique in La Didone, at the Opera de Nancy in L’Appel de la mer with Mark Foster, at the Opera de Nantes in Le Coq d’or with Alexander Titel .

In a troupe in Germany (Bielefeld ), Evgueniy Alexiev took on highly waried roles in the repertoire, Don Giovanni, Escamillo, Figaro in The Barber of Sevilla, Marcello, Athanaël. He performed at the Opera in Nürnberg (Germont), at the Opera in Graz, at the Staats Oper in Berlin with Marc Minkowski, at the Opéra de la Monnaie with Iwan Angelov, at the Opera in Prague and Thessaloniki.

He also sang in The Coronation of Poppea in New York, a production of the Amsterdam Opera staged by Pierre Audi, in Claude Santelli’s production in Paris, at the Opera of Lausanne, at the Opera of Luxembourg with Christof Loy, at the Opera de Toulon and Munich with Heiko Förster.

At the Grand Theatre in Tours, Evgueniy Alexiev made further forays into the Verdian repertoire (Renato, Rodrigue and Ford) under Jean-Yves Ossonce.

He worked in productions at the Opera of Strasbourg with Marco Marelli, at the Opera of Saint Etienne with Rani Calderon, at the Opera of Dijon with Michel Fau, La vedova scaltra at the Opera of Montpellier with René Köring and Enrique Mazzola. Next engagements at Drottningholm in Sweden, at the Opera de Nice, at the Opera of Düsseldorf, Theater an der Wien, at the Opera of Sevilla and Sofia with Ion Karamitru.
