Mireia Pintó, mezzo

Born in Manresa (Barcelona, Spain), Mireia Pintó did her musical studies in the line of Singing and Piano, achieving Honour Prize at the end of the studies. She completed her studies in Italy and France. She was rewarded with the most important prizes in several singing competitions in Spain and in Italy.

Her repertoire includes Opera, Oratorio and Lied. She has performed as soloist with several instrumental chamber ensembles and several orchestras, with the conductors as L. Maazel, P. Maag, R. Bonynge, H. Rilling, P. Goodwin, E. Ericson, A. Zedda, J. C.  Malgoire, O. Dantone, J. López Cobos, M. Benini, M. Mariotti, F. P. Decker, B. de Billy, S. Fujioka, S. Weigle, D. Parry, Y. Traub, A. Ros Marbà, J. J Kantorow, A. Anissimov, G. A.  Noseda, M. Guidarini, J. Pons, and many ot­ers. S

She takes part in several concert cycles, music fest­vals and opera performances in Holland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Andorra, France, Monaco, Rusia, Japan and Spain.  In opera, she performed Giulio Cesare (Sesto) by Händel, Cenerentola, Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Rosina), L´Italiana in Algeri (Isabella), Il turco in Italia (Zaida), Il viaggio a Reims, Così fan tutte, II re pastore, Die Zauberflöte, La serva padrona, La Sonnambula, I Puritani, Lucia di Lammermoor, Andrea Chénier, Sly by Wolf-Ferrari, Carmen, Les contes d’Hoffmann (Nicklausse), Roméo et Juliette (Stéphano), Béatrice et Bénédict by Berlioz (Béatrice), L´enfant et les sortilèges by Ravel, Les Huguenots by Meyerbeer, Manon by Massenet, Evgeny Oneguin, Parsifal, Die WalküreWagner, Ariadne auf Naxos, Elektra, Babel 46 by Montsalvatge, Tassarba by Morera, La vida breve and others.

She performed as soloist in many exemples of oratorium genre, from Bach to modern compossers. In the field of Lied, since 1992 she has a duo with the pianist Vladislav  Bronevetzky, performing  many recitals in several countries, in Festivals and Concert cycles as Gran Teatre del Liceu Rachmaninof Hall in Moscow, Hamarikyu Asahi Hall in Tokyo, and many others. Recently, they recorded the CD Pushkin in music, which includes russian romances with Pushkin´s texts.

She recorded for Südwestfunk, BBC Radio 3, Radio Nacional de España, Catalunya Música, Radio Netherlands and  Spanish Radio Television, Catalonian TV (TV3) ARTE and Südwestfunk TV. She has recorded in CD the opera Sly by Wolf-Ferrari (Koch) next to J. Carreras, a CD with works by the Spanish composer J. Homs, and the CD One life to live, next to Manel Camp, with works by K. Weill and Gershwin.  She has also recorded in DVD the operas Il Viaggio a Reims by Rossini, and Die Walküre by Wagner.

She is Professor in Singing and Lied at the ESMUC (High Music School of Catalonia) and in many master courses.
